Rinnai hot water heaters are pretty good in my opinion. I bought it from them about 1 month ago and after installing the unit, we found out that it was not giving out hot water at all. After that we gave a call to the company and they quickly replace for us a new one. Pretty good company in my opinion though

Tracy,

We just moved into a brand new home about two months ago. I had come across these Rinnai tankless hot water heaters and asked our builder to install, but they gave me some BS about it being untested in our high altitude market (our home sits at 7100 feet). I think they just don't like to install new technologies because if it backfires they don't want the liability or headaches of repairs. So, in the meantime I'm stuck with a 50 gal tank. Our last home the h20 heater went out after only 4 years in service. I'm hoping the same happens again so that I can install one of these systems. Thanks for posting about this!

Hey Tracy this is awesome. Tiff and I have discussed and we're going tankless in our next house. The only question is whether or not it's more efficient after factoring in the approximate 150% increase in the average shower time.:-)
