New Letter Pillows Into Production

Try staring at this stuff for a few days in a row and you’ll know what I mean. We are working on a print that will be used to make 16″ square pillows. The front of the pillow will have one large letter, and the back will have a similar pattern with a tiny anvil in the middle. I’m pretty happy with the way the graphics have turned out. These were made in Illustrator with one part multiple strokes and ten parts each of pain, suffering and tedium. It was worth it!
The letters were manipulated quite a bit to get the stripes distributed nicely. Some of them have clunky corners in spots, but I dig that because too much perfection can be boring. Depending on the letter’s shape it can be difficult to tell where the origin is.
They are already at the printer and we should have the fabric soon. Then, the real work of putting them together begins…
Any questions about how these are being made? Just post a comment.
[…] turned out to be more like op art, which I also like. The plan was to use these panels to make Letter Pillows, and that is still going to happen. But why wait on us? We’re adding these to our Etsy store […]
Hi really love the fabric and letters, did you ever make the letter pillows, and are they still available?
Hey Alex, Thanks. No, we haven’t made any pillows with them yet. I definitely have some ideas. I want to make a blanket/quilt with them. Too many projects! Yes, the panels are still available. There are not on Etsy at the moment, but if you want some let me know. There are $9 each. Tracy
Hi, I love the large letter “S”. Do you ship these to the UK, and if so, how much would it cost?
Thanks
Stuart
Hey Stuart, Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately we never got this going. We only did a test run. So there’s nothing to ship. There are some digital textile printing companies out there that do small runs.
Could I use your letter S to do their own T-shirts?
Hey Greg, Not sure what you mean, but you’re welcome to use the graphics you find on our site for whatever reason. Tracy
