I won’t comment on Michael Jackson himself other to say that the song titles visible in this picture pretty much sum up his life. Everyone has their own definition of “enough.”
This package came out in 1983. I was working at a small chain record store a few years later when I saw a couple copies collecting dust in our seven inch singles bin and decided I must have it. How could I resist such a fantastic package, of songs that I like, printed on glorious red vinyl, with an employee discount? Well, I couldn’t.
Each sleeve and record was produced just for this set, “MJ1,” and they are numbered and labeled accordingly. Most songs are from the mega hit albums “Off the Wall” and “Thriller.”

I have a N/M copy of this rare edition. The records have never been played. The collection is up for sale.

Has anyone heard of a set of THRILLER singles (of all the songs on the 1982 thriller album) on red vinyl, as recently a fiend said they had a set of multicoloured (each single a diferent colour) thriller singles in a pouch set which were as rare as hens teeth. Trying to find any information about them like how much he should insure them for.

Hey Olly, Not sure. There must have been a bunch pressed, because when I’ve come across them for sale online the prices were never very high.
I have this set…I won it in a disco dancing competition in 1982 or 1983!
Played 2 or 3 discs once, rest never….be interested to know what the valuation is.
As Time goes on sets like this WILL be very rare to not only find but to buy. I just bought this pack on ebay, new and in mint condition for 35.00. I’ll be keeping mine, I’m a collector. For the person who had theirs in the attic for all those years… my goodness, I wonder what kind of shape your set is in. Vinyl doesn’t last long in attics at all, unless your attic is temp. controlled. For the person who is looking for a Thriller set of singles in different color vinyl… you have me on a treasure hunt for sure. I didn’t know such a thing existed. I hope I don’t come up with hens teeth instead. Michael was taken from us only 2 years ago. His original memorabilia will be harder to find and buy as years go on. I’d say keep what ya got, if it’s original. MJJ~forever
